چکیده
A leucemia felina (FeLV) é causada por um vírus da família Retroviridae do gênero Gammaretrovírus, podendo acometer ocasionalmente os felinos selvagens e também domésticos. Possui quatro subgrupos: FeLV-A, B, C T. Sua patogenia complexa depende de diversos fatores, mas o principal sistema imune animal. Por ser uma doença imunossupressora, felino fica susceptível a inúmeras doenças e, isso, sintomatologia clínica extremamente diversificada. transmissão se dá contato oronasal, transfusão sanguínea ou via leite/placenta. O diagnóstico pode realizado com exames como ELISA, IFA PCR, associados aos sinais clínicos. tratamento ineficaz animal deve tratado acordo sintomas que apresentam. prevenção realizada evitando animais sadios contaminados, limpeza ambiente testagem dos animais, além vacinação. conhecimento tipos resposta desenvolver primordial para certeiro diminuir propagação doença.
